Welcome to La Trobe University Rowing Club
Our aim at La Trobe University Rowing Club (LURC) is to promote the sport of rowing, competition and good sportsmanship across all levels of ability from the raw beginners to the elite, such as those seeking state or national selection.
Whilst fostering the development of rowing with both past and present La Trobe students and staff, we’re also open to the wider public and provide opportunities to row socially or competitively at all levels of competition including lightweight.
New head Coach Appointed
At long last the LURC committee is please to announce that we have been able to appoint our long awaited Head Coach!
Stuart is originally a light weight Tassie rower and has been hanging round the sheds for the last few seasons. He comes to us from an extremely successful gig at Melbourne rowing club, taking his Masters...
Club Awards Night
We're having a big celebration after Head Of The Yarra.
Along with tall tales of the 8.2km classic we will also be celebrating all the club successes for 2011.
Club Awards will be presented.
All members, present , past and social are cordially invited to this momentous club occasion.

Boys Success at State Championships

Congratulations to the boys (finally) for their successes at the 2011 State Championships.
James won the D Single, with Matt, Cash, Quill and James teaming up to win the D Quad.
